The Owls are the top class in the school and are made up of years 5 and 6. The class size is usually around 20 – 25 pupils – at present we have 22 pupils in the Owls class. The Owls are taught by Mrs Young for 4 days a week and Mr Camp for one day.
Teaching in the Owls is similar to that in the Blackbirds and based upon linked learning topics that cover a terms work. All subjects are integrated into these topics, as far as possible and the homework is also tied into the termly topic. Pupils are able to select homework tasks over the term from a grid that is given out at the beginning of the topic.
