The Blackbirds are the third class in the school and are made up of years 3 and 4.  At the moment we have a very large year 3 group and so the class size in the Blackbirds is quite high – 28 pupils.  The Blackbirds are taught by Mrs Jefferson with Mrs Bennett the teaching support for the class.  Mr Camp teaches the Blackbirds on Wednesday afternoons.

Teaching is based upon linked learning modules that cover each term.  All the subjects are integrates, as far as possible into one termly topic.  Homework is also set on a termly basis and is also linked to the current topic, but based upon a grid of tasks that pupils can select from over the term.
